SERVICES
Benefice Service Times Rev Susan writes: Dear Friends, I want to take this opportunity to share with you the decision that I, supported by the PCC have taken about the pattern of Sunday morning services following Rev Michael’s departure from the Benefice. Rev Michael’s last service will be on Sunday 18 January which will be a Benefice Service at St Martin’s. Sunday 25 January services will be as usual. However, as I feel it is important to maintain a regular pattern for services and in order not to reduce the number of them I, as the Rector and only full-time priest, need to be able to move from church to church each Sunday to officiate for every service of Holy Communion throughout the Benefice. There are currently three other parishes in vacancy in the Deanery so additional Clergy support is not regularly available. Consequently, from 1 February the new regular time for Sunday morning services at St Martin’s will be 9.30 am and at Well Hill 11.00 am. St Mary’s Green Street Green will remain at 9.30 am and All Souls at 11.15am. Please note that Sunday evening at St Martin’s will remain unaffected at 6.30 pm as will Wednesday morning at 9.30 am. The monthly Thursday 10.00 am Communion service at St Mary’s is unaffected too. Please do pray for Rev Michael and his family as he prepares to move on to St Mark’s in Bromley and also pray for the remaining ministers in the Benefice (Clergy and Readers) as we continue in our ministry here. Every Blessing Rev Susan Rector |
