REMEMBRANCE DAY BANNERS
The Willow Man
A Harvest of Thanksgiving
At this time of economic instability we believe as Christians that there is a tried and tested way to find peace and hope in who we are and to discover the abundant blessings that are available for those who believe.....
.......That way is simply to begin by giving thanks. It is to stand still and take stock of the many blessings we have already received and to be thankful to the one who gives generously, liberally without requiring payment.
Secondly it is to share a little of what you already have been given with those who are a less fortunate than yourself. In harvest terms it was to leave the edges of the harvest for others to enjoy. What joy there is to be had in giving, to see another soul light up with thanksgiving at a moments act of love and generosity.
Thirdly, it is to not only give what you have received but to give of yourself to God in the service of others. There is something very special about this
act of love, through it we discover significance and we bring value to those around us.
Be blessed this Harvest in giving thanks, sharing a little and serving both God and others and see if the mire of this economic crisis does not lift from your eyes and new possibilities emerge.
From the Bible
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm
you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "

(Entrance picture) Inspired by Psalm 119:73 "Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands." This picture dedpicts God's hands holding the light of creation, the beginning of all things.

(Exit picture) This is linked to the previous illustration. Based on Psalm 90:17 "May the favour of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us - yes, establish the work of our hands", it depicts God's hands releasing the light of creation. Through the light, humankind is created to do his work.
